Heather began her performing career in her hometown of Palmer, Alaska. She quickly developed a love of musical theater and jazz. Heather’s musical repertoire has since expanded to include gospel, pop, choral, metal, rock, and opera. In Palmer, Heather was ignited by the observation that music is accessible to all; whether you share a professional interest in Baroque performance techniques or wholeheartedly sing along with the radio, music can empower and connect.
In addition to teaching, Heather sings in a jazz duo, works as a liturgical vocalist in churches across the South Shore, and recently appeared as Heanua in Queen Boudicca: A Metal Opera.

Heather believes music lessons should be a positive and empowering experience at any level. She skillfully bridges the gap between classical and popular music with her focus on breathing, physicality, diction, and joyful singing. Whether you are pursuing a career as a musician, perform in school musicals or bands, or just use music as a way to relax in your free time, lessons with Heather will help you grow musically and personally.
Parents of young children are encouraged to observe lessons at their child's discretion. Many children aged 5-7 are ready for private lessons, but each child is unique. Children under age 5 should explore music at home until parents believe they are ready for private instruction.
